• Complete the 13-step onboarding process — name, photos, date of birth, gender, relationship history, religion, lifestyle preferences, and more
• Add a voice note introduction (optional but recommended)
• You are ready to start discovering matches!

OTP verification ensures that every account is linked to a real phone number. This is our first line of defense against fake profiles and bots. One phone number can only be associated with one Renyou account.

Our 13-step onboarding collects the information needed for accurate matching:

• Basic info: name, date of birth, gender
• Photos: at least 2 photos (up to 6)
• Relationship status: divorced, widowed, or separated
• Children: whether you have kids
• Religion, community, and language preferences
• Education and occupation
• Lifestyle preferences: diet, drinking, smoking
• A short bio about yourself
• Voice introduction (optional)

You can upload up to 6 photos. A minimum of 2 photos is required. Your first photo is your main profile photo — choose one that clearly shows your face. Avoid group photos as your primary image.

Voice notes let you add a personal audio introduction to your profile. This helps potential matches get a sense of your personality beyond photos and text. You can record up to 30 seconds. Profiles with voice notes tend to get significantly more engagement.

To get the verified badge on your profile:

• Go to your profile and tap "Get Verified"
• You will be shown a random pose (e.g., tilt head left, raise hand)
• Take a selfie matching the pose
• Our system compares it against your profile photos
• If the match is confirmed, you receive the verified badge

This ensures that the person in the profile photos is the actual user.

A good bio is honest, specific, and gives others something to connect with. Share what makes you happy, what you are looking for, and a little about your life stage. Avoid generic phrases like "just ask me." Instead, try something like: "Single dad of a curious 6-year-old. I love weekend treks, South Indian filter coffee, and building LEGO sets that are definitely not age-appropriate for me."

• Swipe right or tap the heart — you are interested
• Swipe left or tap the X — pass for now
• Super Like — shows extra interest (limited per day)

When both people swipe right on each other, it is a match! You can then start chatting.

Our 9-dimension matching algorithm evaluates compatibility across:

• Age and life stage compatibility
• Location and distance
• Relationship history (divorced, widowed, separated)
• Children preferences
• Religion and community alignment
• Education and career compatibility
• Lifestyle preferences (diet, habits)
• Interests and hobbies overlap
• Language compatibility

Each profile you see includes a match score percentage so you can understand how well you align.

Explore categories let you discover people based on specific themes and interests — such as shared hobbies, similar professions, recently joined members, people nearby, and more. Browse categories from the Explore tab to find connections that align with what matters most to you.

Once you match with someone, a chat window opens automatically. You can send text messages, and the conversation starts from there. We recommend starting with something personal — reference something from their profile rather than just saying "Hi."

Yes! Renyou supports in-app voice and video calling through Agora, so you never need to share your personal phone number. Calls are available after you have exchanged a few messages with your match. This helps build comfort before taking the next step.

Free users can send a limited number of messages per day. Premium and Premium Plus subscribers enjoy unlimited messaging with all their matches. See the Subscription section below for a full comparison.

Go to your profile, tap the "Upgrade" button, and choose your preferred plan. Payments are processed securely through Razorpay. You can pay using UPI, credit/debit cards, net banking, or wallets.

Yes. You can cancel anytime from your profile settings. Your premium features will remain active until the end of your current billing period. We do not offer partial refunds for unused time, but you will not be charged again after cancellation.

Go to your profile tab and tap "Edit Profile." You can update your photos, bio, voice note, and most profile fields at any time. Some fields like date of birth and gender cannot be changed after onboarding — contact support if you need to correct these.

Go to Settings from your profile tab. Under "Privacy," you can switch between visibility modes (Open, Quiet, Geo, Hide from Contacts), manage notification preferences, and control what information is visible on your profile.

Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. You will be asked to confirm your decision. Once deleted:

• Your profile is immediately removed from discovery
• All your matches and conversations are deleted
• Your personal data is permanently removed from our servers
• This action cannot be undone

If you just need a break, consider pausing your profile instead — this hides you from discovery without losing your data.
